Our Plasma was created out of the need for blood by individuals that were involved in accidents or undergoing surgery. Often times, especially in third world countries, the blood bank requires the patient and their families to aid in the replenishment of the blood used. The onus is then placed on the individual to contact people to donate blood. Our Plasma aims to aid the families in obtaining blood donations to replenish the blood bank. Blood cases can be set up indicating what type and amount of blood the person requires. Volunteers can then opt to be notified via email or text message when cases matching their blood type are created. The volunteers can donate blood and then report their donations on the site and receive badges for doing so.
